Despite the “kids” being out of the house, this mid-century home had grown too small for the family’s needs and was ready for a refresh. Working with the strong block forms of the original structure, we added a new wing that includes a guest suite with a dedicated large deck and connected it to a new office space by a windowed walkway overlooking the landscaped grounds.
As part of the renovation, the kitchen was reimagined—opened to the dining area to create a more social, light-filled space. The new design pairs clean lines and natural materials with modern lighting, appliances, and finishes that echo the home’s mid-century roots while bringing it into the present.
