Lunette’s design is inspired by Nite Yun’s vision of Cambodian street life meets 1950’s vintage diner. Using a collage of variegated turquoise tiles at the front counter, a full-size Cambodia-inspired mural by local artist @nakbou and retro-diner furnishings and custom lighting by @metrolightingca, the space is at once vibrant, accessible, nostalgic and unique. The restaurant façade, modeled on a Cambodian street, opens up completely to the pedestrian promenade in the Ferry Building, giving Lunette an indoor-outdoor feeling. The result is an entirely new and fresh dining experience within the San Francisco Ferry Building.
