Where Cambodian street life meets the spirit of a 1950s American diner, Lunette blends nostalgia with contemporary vibrancy. The design centers on a striking collage of variegated turquoise tiles wrapping the counter, paired with a dynamic mural by local artist @nakbou that anchors the space in culture and place. Retro diner–inspired furnishings are reinterpreted with a modern sensibility and complemented by custom lighting from @metrolightingca, creating a warm, cinematic glow.
The restaurant’s façade fully opens to the pedestrian promenade, dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior. This seamless indoor–outdoor experience captures the lively energy of a Cambodian night market while fostering connection and community.
“The concept for the mural pulls in influences from Phnom Penh’s hand painted signs, art deco, French impressionism, and Indian truck art.” -Nak Bou, Artist
