Farmhouse Kitchen

A urban farmhouse kitchen adds rustic charm to an old home read more...

The new kitchen for this 100 year old Adam’s Point home draws on the homeowners’ interest in urban farming. To complement their chickens, hounds and gardens we created a modern kitchen with references to the warmth of country living. We opened up the space to increase the natural light and flow to adjacent rooms, clad the walls in bead-board wainscot, and used a combination of butcher-block and concrete counter tops. The space was finished with open shelving, schoolhouse lights and a stainless steel utility sink that bring together a high level of functionality with rustic charm.
