The design pulls directly from the golf course landscape. The continuous soffit traces the movement of rolling terrain while the light blue ceiling plane reads as open sky. At entry, a PuttView interactive putting green runs alongside a “river” of blue-stained concrete flooring. Walnut wood slat walls reference the tree lines that frame a hole.
Above the bar, a custom 3D topographic relief by Oakland’s Local Language Art draws from the aerial geometry of fairways. It also does double duty: it anchors the room as a sculptural focal point while gently lowering the ceiling to create an intimate, human-scaled moment within the larger space. The program is built around six private Golfzon simulator bays with privacy and comfort in mind. Each bay includes walnut and glass room dividers and abundant seating. Above, ceiling rafters that appear to be wood are in fact sound-absorbing acoustic felt.
Upstairs, the mezzanine Members Lounge takes a more intimate approach. Sage-green sectionals, live-edge coffee tables, and brass lighting give the room a residential feel. With its dedicated golf simulator bay, the entire mezzanine becomes a club space for private events.
