Acopio Restaurant

A true labor of love, working on Acopio restaurant was an 8-year journey of rebuilding after a fire destroyed the family-owned restaurant. They persevered through insurance claims, zoning code changes, unforeseen construction woes and a pandemic. All the while, they trusted us to bring their vision of an elevated modern Mexican restaurant to life. A graphic designer by training, our client’s brand was inspired by Mayan and Aztec graphic pattterns, and with the help of Oakland-based Local Language fabrication, we designed custom screens and bar panels to add texture and interest throughout the space.
