Alisios takes its name from the trade winds that have long carried people, ideas, and culture across the globe — and the interior reflects that same spirit of movement and exchange. The concept is rooted in a simple but layered insight: Mexican culinary identity did not emerge in isolation. It was shaped by centuries of cultural crossing, including the deep influence of Moorish culture, which traveled through Spain to the Americas and left its mark on everything from architecture to ingredient to ornament. Studio KDA drew on this history to create a space that layers handmade materials, commissioned art, and cross-cultural references into a dining environment that honors its source without resorting to caricature.
