Design for modular construction in Oakland's Temescal neighborhood read more...
This new building, intended for modular construction, was designed to provide 44 residential units in a mix of flats and townhouses in Oakland’s Temescal District.
Each of the units was designed to provide an open flow between spaces, an abundance of natural light and a high level of sound insulation between units. The contemporary design features a dramatic glass and wood structure at the corner, a large sun-filled terrace, a gracious third-story viewing deck and underground parking. A series of wood-slat panels, varying in size and thickness, add visual warmth to the facade and provide louvered shade for the building’s inhabitants.
